I Found Love At School. Zou Tian Jing.
This is a true story! Um, I can see into the future. It was five years ago when I was 19 years old. I was studying at a university then. It was September at the time and it was the beginning of a new school term. I didn’t know anything about the Uni as I hadn’t been in China until six years prior. I was a Chinese but I couldn’t speak Chinese all that well. I used English more when I spoke than I did Chinese. So I didn’t speak that much at school with the other students. Everyone thought that I was shy. They didn’t want to talk to me as I wasn’t considered outgoing. So as a result of my quietness I had no friends at school during the first semester.
During the second term I met two boys. I also found a friend. She was a nice kind girl who liked to talk a lot. We found that we shared the same hobbies. As a result of this we became friends.
My new friend often reminded me that there were two handsome boys in our class. One was named Wang Yu Qi and the other boy was called Wang Yu Mu. They were twins and looked almost the same as each other. The only difference was that one had a mole under his left ear. Wang Yu Qi was the monitor of our students club. But he was similar to me in that he didn’t like speaking much. He was the silent steady type of person.
All the girls at school thought that Wang Yu Qi would make a wonderful husband. His was the second most intelligent boy student in our school. The top boy student at our school was his brother. Allow they were brothers and looked the same they were very different from each other. Wang Yu Mu was cheerful and had a good sense of humor. He was gentle and soft however he wasn’t a hard working student. Despite not being a hard worker he was still always the top student in the exams.
My friend said that the two boys were too handsome. They were both 1.82 meters tall. They could both play all sports well. To top it off the both played the piano extremely good. They had no weaknesses at all. I didn’t know the too boys personally but I knew that my friend was very fond of them.
Summer was over and we were into autumn as the leaves on the trees were falling down everywhere. Winter wasn’t far away. I would get up early and as usual listen to stuff being spoken in English and also read some English stories while sitting somewhere in the playground. There would be nobody in the playground at this time of day normally. It was so quite.
One day when I had finished listening to English I noticed a boy that had sat down next to me. He raised his head and looked at me. I felt very shy. My face must have been very red because I felt so hot. Nobody had looked at me the way he was looking at me. He was quite handsome and had beautiful eyes, a long noise and brown hair. He was the most handsome boy I had ever seen. Suddenly I noticed that he had a small mole under his left ear. I thought of my friend’s words. I knew that this was Wang Yu Mu sitting beside me. Now I really believed my friends words. He was so, so handsome.
I stood up, and then he stood up and followed me. I turned around and looked at him. How beautiful his eyes were. I had never seen a pair of eyes as beautiful as his. The sun moved upwards in the morning sky. Sunshine from the sun sparkled off his eyelashes. How handsome he was. Then he said it. “I love you” He said slowly. I couldn’t believe my ears. “What” I said in an astonished voice! “I love you” he repeated it in English.”
I felt very, very shy. I just stood still, unable to move for what seamed a very long time. I was in a state of total shock. “I would have to know you for a long time to be able to say that I loved you!” I eventually replied. “My name is Wang Yu Mu” he said as he introduced himself. “I know that you name is Chu Jia Hui. Please be my girlfriend; if not you’ll probably regret it on day.” After hearing this I knew what to do. I turned around and ran away. However he caught up to me and grabbed hold of my hand gently. He then held my hand in his. Then he let go and left. When he left he gave me a beautiful view of his back.
“What can I do? What can I do” I kept asking myself. I then went to my classroom. When I was running past the music classroom I heard the most wonderful music. Someone was in there playing the piano. When I glanced in through the door I say a boy who looked the same as Wang Yu Qi. However there was no mole under this boy’s left ear. It was Wang Yu Qi. He looked like a prince. The music stopped. He raised his head and looked at me. I ran away.
A few days latter the news of “Wang Yu Mu loves Jia Hui” was spreading like the wind about the campus. All the students were aware of it. All the girls were angry and jealous of me. They hated me because their prince Wang Yu Mu had fallen in love with me. They all loved him but his eyes were just for me. He bought things for me. Gave me flowers and shouted “I love you Jia Hui” under the girls dormitory building where I lived. He waited for me after school and wanted to take me home in his beautiful white car. But I wouldn’t get into his car and let him drive me home. So he instead would walk home with me, all the time telling me that he couldn’t live without me. But I knew that I didn’t love him. I just thought that he was handsome full stop.
The school dance party was approaching. Everyone was excited about it. I was worried about the formal dress requirements. However I received two very beautiful dresses. One was light pink the other was light blue. When I received them I felt very surprised. They were from two different boys. I could tell this because of the notes they had sent. One said “You are my true love” and the other one said, “You are the prettiest girl that I know. I can’t cheat my heart as it tells me that I love you.” Then I chose the more beautiful of the two dresses that I liked the most. I dressed up in it for the party.
I arrived at the party without a boy to escort me. I had no boyfriend so I joined into the party with my friend. Then my friend shouted, “Look the two princes are coming” I raised my head and saw the two handsome boys with the lights twinkling behind them walking towards me. Oh dear, how handsome they were. I couldn’t believe that there could be boys more handsome in the world then these two. I thought that my face must be as red as a tomato.
They were both looking at me and coming towards me together. Wang Yu Mu looked somewhat unhappy. He said to me, “Why didn’t you dress up in the light pink dress that I sent for you? I think it is more beautiful than the blue dress that you are wearing.” I said nothing. Then his brother behind him stretched out his hand to me and said, “Can I have the pleasure of this dance?” I could see Wang Yu Mu getting very angry. All the girls also were looking at me angrily. I still said nothing. Dear brother this girl is all I have. I love her. How can you try to take her away from me?” He was about to cry. “I, love, her also! Wang Yu Qi said very slowly. Then my dear Wang Yu Mu ran out like a child suffering from great hurt. My heart was hurting also. I didn’t know why. Then Yu Qi said to me gently and softly, “My beautiful girl, please dance with me. I wanted to dance with Wang Yu Qi but however I couldn’t bear what had happened. I ran out from the dance and then I looked for my dear Wang Yu Mu.
I found him crying as a child. I softly held him in my arms. I said to him, “I love you so, so much my dear Wang Yu Mu” He raised his head and looked at me. Then he kissed me.
Now I know my true love is Wang Yu Mu. We will soon marry and live happy ever after.
